On a Personal Note

July 29, 2015 By Barry

My wife, Jessica, and I welcomed our daughter, Rachel Lee Shafer, as she made her grand entrance into this world on Tuesday, July 21, coming in at a healthy 7 lbs, 15 oz. Mother and child are home and doing fine, although mother and father are navigating the new normal of parenting 13-month old Reade and newborn Rachel. So far the man-to-man approach is working out, although full sleep is a commodity that’s hard to come by these days.

Being back in the labor and delivery mode last week reminded me of a blog post generated out of Reade’s birth last year…finding an unlikely analogy to encourage youth workers in their Bible efforts with teens. Click here if you’d like to take a peek at that post.
